Nestled on the quiet Rúa Reinante in Ribadeo, Chulapita Street Food is a delightful culinary gem that surprises and satisfies with its vibrant street food offerings. This cozy spot specializes in handmade bocadillos (Spanish sandwiches) that transform simple street fare into memorable dining experiences bursting with flavor and creativity.
Chulapita’s menu is a celebration of bold combinations and fresh ingredients that excite the palate. Among their standouts is the tataki picanha on focaccia, a dish praised for its bright flavor pairing and impeccable presentation—perfect for those craving something refreshingly different. The charrasquino ternera, featuring grilled beef complemented by tomato, onion, and herbs packed into soft focaccia bread, delivers a succulent, savory bite that lingers with comforting warmth.
Vegetarian options shine here as well, with bocadillos crafted from mother dough bread or focaccia, earning genuine admiration for their richness and satisfying textures. Diners repeatedly mention the Turkish egg and shredded beef sandwiches as winning choices, highlighting the thoughtful blend of tastes that cater to diverse cravings.
The dining atmosphere at Chulapita is intimate and unpretentious, perfectly matching its location on a calm street away from the hustle and bustle of Ribadeo’s more touristy areas. It’s a spot where you can enjoy a relaxed meal that doesn’t compromise on quality or creativity. With friendly, approachable staff—particularly the welcoming Monica—service elevates the experience by making every guest feel genuinely valued and comfortable.
What truly makes Chulapita stand out is the sense of discovery it offers. Though listed as a grocery store on some platforms, it’s a charming street food haven that exceeds expectations in every way. Prices are incredibly fair, with full meals including a drink available for around 15 euros, making it accessible for locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re a Ribadeo local or a curious traveler seeking authentic flavors delivered with passion, Chulapita Street Food promises an unforgettable taste adventure. Its elevating approach to bocadillos, paired with a warm and inviting vibe, will have you returning again and again to explore the rest of their enticing menu.

Super recomendado.

Very good food and super friendly service! The lady working there was so kind and welcoming, and the food was way beyond my expectations. It shows as a grocery store on Google Maps, but it’s actually more of a small café or street-food place(I don’t know if they have coffee, but it’s not a grocery store) Definitely worth a visit!
